Shipping and Returns
Making A Purchase - Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our site, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.
Ordering & Payment - EU customers can order safely and securely online. Online payment is by PayPal, one of the world's leading online payment providers, handling millions of secure transactions every day. It is part of the eBay group of companies. You do not need to have, or create, a PayPal account to use this feature. On checkout, you will be redirected to our secure PayPal payment page, and returned to our website when payment has been completed.
Alternatively you can choose to send us a cheque or postal order.

Packaging - Our beautiful selection of packaging comes included with all our jewellery range (see picture, right).
Shipping And Handling - UK Customers - Post and Packing will be charged from £2.00 to £4.50 to most
destinations the United Kingdom, depending on value. The exact amount will be calculated after the order has been placed. The
On-line ordering receipt will automatically display shipping at £4.50. This does not mean you will be charged this amount. The
amount will be manually adjusted by us if more or less.
Postage for UK customers is charged at £2.00 on orders up to £25, £3.00 from £25.01 to £40, and £4.50 on orders of £40.01 or more.

Should you need an order urgently, we offer priority shipping for an extra fee of £4.00. Items with priority shipping are sent by Special Delivery (UK only), and are shipped the same day or following day after the order. Special Delivery guarantees delivery the following day after shipping and includes insurance for jewellery items.
We strongly recommend that any orders containing jewellery or precious metals (gold or silver), or in
excess of £30 value are sent Special Delivery. Simply select the Special Delivery option during the checkout procedure and the
relevant costs will be added to your basket.
International Customers - International shipping costs will be added to your order during the checkout process.
Most countries will have the options of standard international airmail or International Signed For during the checkout process. Standard
airmail does not include insurance and can take 7-14 days for delivery.
OVERSEAS ORDERS ARE PLACED AT THE CUSTOMERS RISK. BLACK AND WHITE BIRD WILL NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR OVERSEAS ORDERS LOST IN TRANSIT.
Delivery Schedule - We aim to dispatch orders within 3 - 4 days of receipt of payment. However, during times of
high demand (such as during the busy Christmas period) it may take up to a week to dispatch your order. If you are paying by cheque, please
note that delivery will not take place until your cheque has cleared, which could take up to one week.
For priority delivery, international customers have the option of International Signed For. International
Signed For aims to deliver in 5-7 days, although this is not guaranteed. International Signed For includes insurance for jewellery
items. We strongly recommend that any orders containing jewellery or precious metals (gold or silver), or in excess of £30 value are
sent International Signed For.
Refunds & Exchanges - At Black and White Bird, we want you to be as happy with your products as we are.
With the best will in the world, sometimes when your jewellery arrives and you see it "in the flesh", it's not quite what you expected, or it isn't the right size, or you may have simply changed your mind. That's no problem. Black and White Bird has a full 10 day money back guarantee on all its products.
However we would ask that you follow the procedures below so that we can refund your payment as quickly as possible:
- If the item is faulty, please contact us as soon as possible and return the item within 10 days of receipt and
a replacement will be sent.
- If the item is not faulty, but you wish to return it for either a refund or an exchange then you must
pay the return postage and postage of any further items.
- All returns must be packed properly to avoid damage or breakage. Replace the jewellery in the same packaging
that it came in, or if no longer available, in suitable protective packing. Please send items back via recorded delivery for your
own proof of delivery, as the Company cannot take responsibility for items lost in transit. This postage cost is not reimbursed.
Once we receive the goods, we will then refund your card or allow you to exchange the items for something else. We shall not accept
any responsibility for non-delivery or damage of goods in transit.

- Once we receive your return, we will promptly refund you...
- Customer to pay the postage costs unless return is due to faulty or incorrect merchandise. You may also choose to have a substitute
item or items to the same value instead of a refund. Refunds will be made using the same payment method as the original payment received.
- When returning goods, it will speed up the process enormously if you remember to include your name/address, and where possible, your order number.
- Refunds after 10 days from the date of dispatch are at the discretion of Black and White Bird.
- For health and hygiene reasons, no refunds are available on pierced earrings. Rings ordered to specific sizes
are also non-returnable. Any items returned should not have been used or worn.
- If there are special circumstances, we may consider accepting a return for refund outside of the 10 day period. Such returns
may be subject to a re-stocking fee of 10% of the original order value or £3.00, which ever is greater. Please contact our
customer services at info@blackandwhitebird.com for such refunds.
- We reserve the right to refuse any return or exchange.
- By placing an order, you agree to the terms above. Your statutory rights are not affected
Damaged Goods - If your product is damaged in transit, please contact us immediately on 028 9756 3648 and return the product to us at: Black and White Bird, 31 Church Road. Ballynahinch,Co. Down, BT24 8LP. We will replace the item free of charge and take your case up with the Royal Mail.
